Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 October 2026
Atlas (atlasclass.app) collects as little as it can to run. We don’t sell your data, we don’t show ads, and we don’t use tracking or advertising cookies.
What we collect
- Your email address, when you make an account, to sign you in and to email you about your account.
- Your practice: which sets you open, your answers, and whether they were right, so you can see your progress and so we can enforce the free limit.
- Purchases: your plan, its status and dates, and a customer ID from our payment processor. Your card details go to the payment processor, never to us.
- Teacher requests: your name, school, the link you give us, your students’ email domain, the number of seats and anything you write in the note.
- Messages you send to support@atlasclass.app.
- Basic logs kept by our hosting providers (such as IP addresses and request times) to run and protect the service, and anonymous page-view totals (see Cookies and storage).
Sample questions work without an account; answers to them aren’t stored.
How we use it
To run Atlas: sign you in, save your progress, give you the Premium you paid for or your class was given, answer your messages, handle refunds, and keep the site secure. We email you only about your account, purchases and class access, not marketing.
Who processes it for us
We use a small number of service providers to run Atlas: for hosting and content delivery, the database and accounts, email, and payments. They process data only on our behalf, to provide their service to us, under agreements that require them to protect it. We may also share data if the law requires it, or to protect Atlas and its users from fraud or abuse.
Cookies and storage
Atlas keeps your sign-in in your browser’s local storage. We count page visits with privacy-friendly analytics that use no cookies and don’t identify you or follow you across sites; we see only totals like page views, referring sites and countries. No advertising or tracking cookies. Our payment processor’s checkout page may set its own cookies to prevent fraud.
Students and schools
Atlas is written for high-school and college students. It isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect data from them; if you think a child under 13 has an account, email us and we’ll delete it. When a teacher arranges class access, students still make their own accounts, and the teacher can’t see their answers through Atlas. We use student data only to provide Atlas, never for advertising, and we don’t sell it.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and practice for as long as you have the account. If you delete it, we delete your data within 30 days, except payment records we must keep for tax and accounting, and anything we must keep by law.
Your choices
You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account and its data. Email support@atlasclass.app from the address on your account. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California), you may have further rights; we’ll honour them.
Security
Data is stored with our database provider and sent over encrypted connections. Answers and Premium content are checked on our servers, and access to your data is limited to you and to what’s needed to run Atlas. No system is perfectly secure, but we’ll tell you promptly if your data is affected by a breach.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll show a notice on the site or email you before it applies.
